Not sure about smugmug but fullcolor.com is nice, I have printed several.

Sorry, I don't know either. But I've done about 10 different prints now on CanvasOnDemand. The prints, and more importantly, their service has been top notch! And their prices are better than Smugmug to boot.

Just a happy customer. (Actually, I'm also a smugmug pro customer, but my canvas business goes to CanvasOnDemand.)

They also have a 10% off sale going now. I'm planning on taking advantage of it myself, and I just ordered 6 canvases less than two weeks ago (two each of three prints.)

Sorry if that sounds salesy. I've got nothing to gain. Just trying to help.

Oops, yes, it's 20% off, not 10%. :)

Personally, I can't imagine Smugmug compares; the smugmug service is done by a third party, EZPrints. With CanvasOnDemand, this is THEIR business! You can talk to someone, who can talk directly to people/artists taking care of your print.

They save everything about your job, so you can easily reorder (e.g., for resale). That includes anything they had to do to make it right. For example, I had a problem with one of my prints--they did it smaller than I requested. But at the same time, I didn't like the way it wrapped (it was my first canvas print.) They fixed it for me, printed it the right size, and now, I can reorder it just the way I liked it.

Of course, you can do the same thing yourself if you are a pro on Smugmug (as I am). And you can resell from your account. But if you were creating new edges for the photo, as I often do so I don't lose the original composition on the front, you'd have to show the "edged" photo on your website in order for people to order it. Of course, you can't sell direct from COD anyway, so there, there's no comparison. FWIW, I sell my Canvas prints here now.

Other differences:

- CanvasOnDemand (COD) retail prices are better than Smugmug. Just to compare, I did 16x24 on Smugmug, wrapped canvas: $99. On COD, it's $89.
- Pro pricing on COD is even better than that.
- COD allows custom sizes. In fact, as you go between sizes, the price stays the same until you hit some critical threshold.

Again, just a customer testimonial. (I'm a customer for both services, though I probably won't print a canvas on Smugmug unless COD goes downhill!)

Don't get me wrong about EZPrints--they are a good service (I believe DPC uses them too, and I've ordered lots of prints from DPCPrints.) I just like the opportunity for direct personal service better.

One of these days though, I want to try some of the other products from Smugmug (like Mugs etc.)

ETA: BTW - many DPCers have printed through COD. Here's the original thread that go many of us started...
