Formatted my C drive (OS only on that drive). Program files are on other drives. Reinstalling isn't a problem if need be but is there any way to access those programs for use? Photoshop, Lightroom, Office, etc won't run since the format and reinstall.

Reinstall will be required. You've lost all the registry settings for those applications, and also all of the files that the applications shared with the OS (and were co-located with the OS).

You'll need to reinstall the apps. This is because all installed apps have entries in the registry which resides on the OS drive.

Ya, you've lost all of your registry settings and your shared libraries.

Just because your software is install on a seperate drive (or partition) doesn't mean it's seperated. There are common files that are saved to c:\windows\system32 and c:\Documents and settings\\Application Data

What you want to do is keep important files on a seperate drive/partition. Like all your images. For me, it's all of my code (I'm a programmer).

That way, you can format your C Drive and not worry about your images/code.
