Besides the comments one receives during the challenge is there an easy way to find out if you have comments on the photos in your portfolio? I try to answer everyone who comments on my photos and recently I found that someone had left a comment on a picture in my portfolio and I didn't see it until 3 weeks later.

On your profile page there is a number that lists the amount of comments you have received. That number is clickable and takes you to the full list of comments. You can either take note of the number and remember it then check to see if it goes up (other than challenge comments), or else click on it every so often to see if there are any new ones. It shows newest comments first so you can just go back through a few pages if you forget to check for a while.

Just click on My Profile, then click on Comments Received and you'll see the most recent comments first. It took me a while to figure that out, too. Good luck!

Thanks all --I hate being rude to people who are nice enough to leave a comment.

No kidding ... remind me not to try and print the comments pages (too many!)

But I still want a "reply-to-comment" button so it doesn't have to involve a circuitous route through the person's profile page.

Yes, it would be REALLY REALLY nice, if we had a tabular view of our portfolios with statistics similar to the ones for challenges! Then you could see the number of comments.

On other sites, like PhotoPoints, when I log in, and always on the left, there's a number showing me whether there are any comments, or replies to comments waiting. Yes, in fact, the site has a nice way to show replies in line with the comments, sort of like this forum. That's very nice, as long as anonymity can be protected during the challenge, that would be neat (gee, just hide the names!). Or at least it would be good to do it in the regular photos.
