Was sent this link from a friend. You really have to love photography to do this.

That's really pretty amazing. There are a couple of other videos of him that are worth checking out as well!
I'm curious as to what the average cost of taking one of these photographs is?

Pretty cool concept.

Wonder how many MP that thing is, hahahah..

Cool results though.

That is SO COOL - he makes me feel like I lack committment to the artform - GRIN!

Thanks for sharing.

It's all well & good until he rips his arms out of their sockets trying to focus that thing!

I didn't realise that Kodak did a horsebox brownie:)

Cool. Wonder if any cops are going to harrass him for being a terrorist? *grin*

A photographer and artist he most decidedly is :-)

A mechanical engineer, he is not :-P

who dares arrest a guy with a camera THAT size is asking for trouble, lol

It would be funny if when he opened the back a naked bum jumped out and screamed "I'm exposed!". That would be funny.

Makes me want to get out my film camera. Can you even buy film anymore?

Yes for sure an artist in the truest sense.

And yeah I guess he has never heard of ball bearings. It's all ball bearings these days ...

:-D

It made me wonder if anybody has done pinhole stuff with their digital. I found this link.
Pinhole SLR

I am going to do this.

Yep, krnodil has been doing some interesting stuff with a similar concept, the zone plate. Instead of a clear pinhole, it's a pattern of black and white concentric rings that diffract the light to focus it.

She's inspiring others, too. Examples.

I am going to try some of this for a shoot I have coming up. Now I just need to build the super cool lens deal.

Man, you know you're dedicated to your art when you have to climb inside your camera to focus it.

That is just wild and amazing and I agree with with kirbic about his engineering lol but awesome it works for him.

It seems that this guy has not thought of developing the images on a table using sponges to move the chemicals around. That is how Clyde Butcher does his prints up to 15 ft long.
Some people just can't be happy with a "Holga". : )
ETA, I wonder how it does with macro?

I hear you can place the subject INSIDE the camera, hard core macro. ;)

He could set each half of it at opposite ends of a culvert under the road and have an extension tube.

I just built one. I am going to have fun with this tomorrow.

The finer the hole the sharper the image seems to be. I am going to try and work with it a bit.

This is a first image. I am going to play around with some options and see what I come up with.

Damn you Mephisto! Beat me to posting about the world's largest, but here's some additional info and the actual photo they took Article Here
That's pretty interesting that he doesn't time it or anything. I wonder how many tries and how many headaches it took before he knew exactly how much to wave his hand around in front of it.

You can but you have to find an antique store that sells it.

LOL Antique store. From a guy who still runs a roll through now and then I find that funny. It actually still plentiful. Just harder to find the good stuff anymore. Its all pretty much consumer 35mm now. I'm on the hunt for a nice 120 classic myself now.
