all 3 comments are telling me how wonderful my photo is, and i agree it is very very good. i was excited to enter it. i guess it's just not abstract enough?

Well, for all of you who felt like they were talking me off the ledge, I'm gonna stick around. Score is still far below my average, which is disappointing because I like the shot, but I can live with it. Plus I got a fav! :)

Based on what I saw when I went through these last night, I think that there are some really great images here but there are a number of them that, as mentioned a few times below, are not abstract. What am I looking for in terms of abstract?
This would be a good start.

Abstract art/paintings are different from an abstract photo. But having said that, it's just a matter of interpretation, so we should all learn than anything other than a directive that is so specific that there is no margin for error (when will that every happen) then we are going to be open for interpretation. Just like Color Studio Portrait. People might take a photo of their dog and I've heard in previous threads that 'a portrait should only be of the human face unless otherwise specified.' Hard pleasing everyone. LOL

Yes. Go to "My Portfolio", click on your challenge entry. You'll be able to view the comments you entered AND add more if you so desire. |

Yep. Just looked (hadn't tried using this new feature yet) and it shows "Since this entry is in voting, you may only make additions: "
However, you should still be able to select the text by holding down the left mouse button and highlighting the comments you've put in, then Ctrl-C to copy it...then paste into some other text area as needed for sending in your validation. |

I'm not actually surprised I was asked for validation, I can see why someone might think my pic a little suspect. I'm still a bit surprised at how badly it's doing though, I really thought it was good and I don't often think that.

I also think you can simply state "see processing details in the comments of the photo". SC should be able to get them from there.
