(If you'll indulge me...)
I just got my new camera. No, it's not 50D. It's not the 5D.
Not a digital back bald.
It's a PowerShot SD790IS.
I'm now getting to the point where I don't want to drag my 20D 17-40 with 550ex flash to a small party. It's like using a jackhammer to nail in a picture frame. Of course, the images are great, but then I have to worry about having $2,000 in my hand, waiting to drop it in/on something.
Now I can just slip this little P&S camera into my pocket. I'm going to miss the RAW tho. |

| Hey, there's a place for these little cameras. The Canon compacts have a great rep. That looks like it would fit nicely into any jeans pocket. |

Wow, no images submitted with it. I'll have to enter a picture into a challenge.
Of course it's been awhile. Too busy with family and family pics. |

| I did the same thing. There are times when carrying the rig is just not possible. |

I still carry the FujiFilm FinePix S5100 when I want to walk light...I am amazed more and more with the things I can do with it.. more so now when I understand things like exposure, lighting, composition, etc a little better.
Happy imaging Nullix!

First real outing with it.
Not a bad little camera. I won't take it above 400ISO. It gets real noisy to me at 800 and above. |

I often take a little Fuji A820 with me for walkabout, and to places were there are a lot of people. I gave one like it to my sister just before we went on vacation to Montana a couple of months ago. She had never used a digital camera, and some of her pics were better than the ones that I shot of the same scenes. The little Fuji's do great macro too, if you can get close to the subject.
I would like to see another P&S side challenge P&S S C Images some day. That was fun.
