I was thinking the same way as you Ed. I will be showing up at which ever place is decided. The foot bridge is a good place to meet if we meet downtown. I shall wait in the wind until the rest chime in.

I'm still game for the 28th and will drive anywhere for sunrise and breakfast.

PS Milwaukee's closer than Port wash.

Since we did the Art Museum the last time, I'm on board with Port Washington for this GTG... we're a scant three days away, so it is crunch time.

I think John should make the call. Either one will work for me.

Oh, power.

OK, Port Wash it is, but someone's gotta send me an address for the car nav system. Sunrise is about 6:45. One of you locals name a place and meeting time. I'll be there!

John, I think the easiest way for you would be Hwy 60 to Hwy C go North on C into Port Washington. On your GPS enter the Intersection of East Main St and Grand Ave.

Looks like Port it is... see you all there!

Owie, Google maps says 2 hours and 6 minutes! Do you know what time I'll have to get up?
09/26/2008 05:43:06 PM · #61
That is only if you drive like a Google. I reckon you will be up before the Crows.

John, if you need an exact address for your GPS try this. It should put you in the parking lot to meet up.

Thanks Ed, that'll work.

Should be pretty cool right by the lake during the early AM. Bring a jacket.

I must say you made the correct choice, What you thought would turn out to be a bummer turned into something pretty special, I would have loved to been at that game. WOW!

As for the GTG you didn't miss out on much, The Sun was blocked by grey clouds and the GTG was short. However we discussed an adventure into the holy hill area for the fall colors in a couple of weeks. I will start a new thread about that very soon.

The game was fantastic. What an event. They showed the end of the Mets game on the big screen and several thousand people hung around to watch the end of it. It was amazing. Too bad the GTG didn't turn out as expected and I'll be looking around for the next one.
