After using Google chrome for a few weeks, I must say IE sucks poopy monkey butt. I am forced to use IE for school and it is so freakin slow, while my Google Chrome rocks. It is so much more lightweight. I really like it lots.

I've been using Chrome on both my computers since it came out. I won't ever go back to IE (and I can't stand Firefox). Chrome is fast and stable - another point for Google.

Got Chrome a few weeks ago, use it, love it, fast, stable...I just needed to get used to bookmarking and a few other oddities of the set up |

It is a bit different, but super smooth. I am addicted. I give Google about 3 more years before serious talk of an OS surfaces. |

I say they're already neck deep in this work now, and an OS surfaces within one year. |

Lord I hope so. They seem to know what users want. Basically a thin client that is easy to use gets 300 miles per charge and is so think I can slip it in my wallet. |

OS stands for old school. You'll never install a Google OS on your machine. If it ever exists at all, it will live at the GooglePlex. |

Gee...I can't slip any of my 'thinks' into my wallet.
Then again, I don't even own a wallet. :)

In a way they already have an OS of sorts out there in the form of Android, granted its geared towards mobile computing but yeah, I reckon there will be something for regular computers within the next 5 years.. |

For those who are interested. To keep track of my page hits and other info I use a free service called Statcounter - recently they posted an article on their news page that showed how Chrome took 1% of the market after the fist day of launch - granted things havent really improved a great deal since then but quite an impressive feat.. And looking at the stats they have managed to hold onto that 1% .

I've just downloaded and tried it out. First thing I've noticed is that it ensmallens the dimensions of dpc images, making them look a bit sharper, or worse, oversharp.
It's certainly fast, though.

there isnt a GUI really to speak of - which is why I like it.. I know things like Firefox and IE have a tendency to get overfilled with toolbars and such, and the minimalistic approach is refreshing.. |

I simply do not trust it. With Google giving away our search results to the government just for the asking and then helping the Chinese government to put people in jail by supplying them with personal search results; this software will never be installed on my computers. Great search engine and that's as far as it goes for me and Google. They gather enough info as it is. |

If you use it for a few weeks, you will find it super hard to go back to anything else. + Flash and stuff are integrated some fancy method so you never have to do the updates. Or at least that was what I read. |

I downloaded it after I saw the first announcement on a previous DPC thread, the day it was released. It has been a while now that I have been using Chrome. And it is running supper smooth. I rarely go back even to the firefox, which was earlier browser by default. Best thing about Chrome, is the speed and simplicity of interface. And yes, the memory image is very small. :-)
