Hey all, once again I turn to the wonderful DPC community for some CC and input! So I've just got around to trying to do some more serious editing on some images that have just been chilling in lightroom for a few months. Here they are: &

On the left is the original and the right is the PPed one! I guess my biggest gripe with the original was that big sign in the bottom that was just ridiculously blown out. I tried to do a lot of different things to remove it or fix it but in the end I just decided to use a vignette to make it less noticeable/remove it. If you like it let me know, if not let me know too. But also let me know what you would do differently... and if you want have a go and let me know your editing steps!

Thanks in advance guys I'll check back pretty quick! :)

I think you did a great job with the editing. It looks very natural and much better than the original.

I think you did a nice job accomplishing your goal of getting rid of the big bright sign. I don't know that I would have gone quite as far with the contrast boost of the explosions though. It seems like you lost some of the purplish coloring and the actual bursts seem a bit too bright, especially when you can compare the two shots side by side. Overall though, a good improvement over the original shot.

I like that the landscape below the fireworks remains. It puts the shot in perspective.
