Hello. I want to know if anybody here could tell me something about the diffrents between Canon EF 16-35 mm L USM f/2.8 and EF 24-70 L USM f/2.8

Or is there maybe no other diffrent then the Zoom ?

Would you recommend me to buy 24-70 if I have just a cheap lens EF 28-80 mm f/3.5-5.6?

The 24-70/2.8L is an outstanding lens. The majority of my challenge entries are taken with that lens simply because it has the most useful zoom range for most of the type of shots I've taken so far.

That said, the 16-35/2.8L is next on my wish list, but I don't regret getting the 24-70 first.

I think you'd notice a significant difference between it and the 28-80, especially in terms of size and weight. :)

I have both, but the lens I use most is the 70-200 2.8 "IS". They are all superb glass!

I also have the 70-200/2.8L IS and it is definitely my favorite lens. My out takes in both the Still Life and Scents and Aromas challenge were taken with that lens, because I love the shallow DOF you can get with big apertures and long zoom range... plus I love being able to hand-hold the lens because of the IS!
