Woo! Congrats, David!
And Karen, did you have something somewhere where you told how to make a zone plate? I think I saw something, or maybe just thought I did... |

Well, I got mine pre-made, as I think Bobbie did too. But Nathan made his own - his thread concerning how to go about it is here.. Alternatively you can get a pre-made one here, and stick it over a drilled hole in your body cap, or get a ready-to-go zone plate body cap here. (don't let those first $$$ entries give you a heart attack, what I'm talking about is further down on both pages) |

Oh, I already know that picture. :-)
I may have to order one of those gizmos. Then bug Karen for advice on how to use the thing. |

Rosemary, you're gonna have a blast! I suspect you're WAY ahead of everyone else already and will be passing along tips. This, incidentally, will help you as well. Most importantly, HAVE FUN! (And report back on your lessons!) |

I'm in Bummer. After the challenge ends, I'll have lots of pictures to post. I can't post them now because it would give away my entry. |

It just takes the government awhile.... :-)
Congrats, Jeffrey!
And I'm in for Color in B&W. It's one of those I'd say "Nice shot!" and give a 6 to, so hopefully everyone else will feel the same. Heh heh heh..... |

Turkey! It's a career position. :P But of the 15 or so of us in the morning mgt. meeting, only 3 of us will be here in January.
Kelli, no raise yet, but a clear plan for one in the next year (or less). I just wanted the job; the money will come when it comes.
Mary: ha! Two of my staff high-fived me and one said, simply, "when's lunch?" :)
Thanks, everyone!

It's the sexiest non lens thing eva and the new love of my life. Apart from that I'll have to leave it to Krnodil or google to explain 'cos I'm running late for work. |

baton has been passed...
Ok, Susan, it's sort of related to pinhole photography except that what allows light through is not a pinhole but a series of thin concentric circles - this results in a softer focus than the pinhole and diffused highlights. You can read up more about it here., and various other places on the web.
Oh, and Bobbie, did you see that Lensbaby now offers a pinhole/zone plate option?
Congrats Jeffrey! You are one patient man! |
