Stepped out of my comfort zone on this one and it shows. But since I put too many hours on it to go from terrible to awful and then to mediocre, I submitted the mediorcre.

Mine started the day not to bad at 5.6 and now its down to 5.4. I have had a couple of good comments though.
I need to try and keep away from the update button!! Another week of stressing whether i submitted the right image |

The rubbish weather really hampered me in getting a good shot, it's been dull and rainy non-stop for over a week; when I forced myself out to get my shot, it was still bucketing down. Anyways, this afternoon:

For once my expectations were spot on. I wasn't truely impressed with the one I gave however I thought it was just enough to raise my SUPER LOW average that was givin to me because of my first couple of photos. At this point thats my main issue.

Didn't enter this one, but at quick glance through the thumbs, I am actually excited to vote this one! I'm one of the purists that loves photography with minimal editing and the quick look through showed a huge number if interesting and beautiful shots. Normally, the quick glance doesn't offer much. Maybe I'll be bumping your scored UP! :)

Right there with you at a perfectly average 5.5 :-) But hey, we've still got a comfy couch there with our name on it and the evenings are getting cool enough for hot cocoa again.

well, i guess i'm not surprised but had secretly hoped i was wrong. out of the all the different types of long exposure shots i took like fruit falling and cars streaming by under a moonlit freeway, i chose the one i liked the best which i knew might not go over well with the general voting public.
anyway...so far

Got a comment telling me that my shot would be better if I'd done a particular something, which I couldn't because of the minimal editing. Comments like that are pretty pointless I think!

hehe I think people enjoy making those kinds of comments because they know majority won't respond ;) during a challenge and the others that -do- respond out themselves as who did the shot... so just ignore them ;) :-D just don't mark comments as helpful that aren't ;) :-D |
