...the card reader. I'm on a business trip to the French Alps, and have a few days off to take photos. Problem is, my card reader is at home. Oh sure, my laptop takes SD cards, but my camera takes CF cards, so none of my lovely shots will appear in any current challenges, until I find a way to get them off my camera. Had a great shot for Risk, but couldn't use it. Oh, don't worry about the FSM, I will be home by then. Would have been nice to enter a few other challenges though, now that I actually have the time to dust off the camera and take some photos for a change!

That sucks. I keep my camera's USB cable in my most-used suitcase just in case I forget the reader.

Ditto ... since I do a fair bit of travel for my job I try to leave a USB cable in my suitcase ... along with an extra cell phone charger (yep, been burned by that one before too!)

Yep, I was going to do that as a backup - I had to leave the card reader to the last minute, so was going to throw in the cable as a backup...but forgot to do that too. :) I could leave it in the bag permanently, but I repacked everything into my smaller shoulder bag for this trip, so none of my extra bits are in this bag.

Edit to add, I did bring the charger though. :)
