1.5 hours worth of Bat Mitzvah party shots... I was secondary, so the client still has some coverage. But the pain and agony (melodramtic, yes) is relentless.
Called the restaurant and nothing has turned up. The primary said they were sweeping up like madmen with favors, toys, etc. in the mix. So the card may not have stood out.
ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fortunately, none of the "photo moment" shots, just mingling guests, but still...
ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your not being melodramatic at all.. gotta be my all time worst nightmate.. actually its my second. you dont wanna know the first.
actually, my other other nightmare scenario which I have actually dreamt about is doing the ring shots at a wedding, then dropping the ring accidentally and it rolling away and plopping down a deep drain. my god, can you imagine it. That why I always tell my assistants to NEVER EVER walk off with the ring, allow the best man to be in control of them and watch out for drains.
oh, and inappropriate touching of the bride. |

I actually saw that happen once. The photographer was "rearranging" the bride's bodice and she reared back and smacked him upside the head. She was screaming at him, the groom was being restrained, it was quite a scene. This was also the only time I've ever seen a hired photographer actually DRINKING at the reception, so I'm sure there was a connection :-)

I've heard that, unlike Kleenex, cards (and carefully collected seeds from the wild - almost same thing) can survive the washing machine. Bat Mitzvah cleanups may be another thing altogether.
