The AST Dew Tour is in Salt Lake City today. In fact, they are right across the street from where I work!

The FMX Finals aren't until Saturday, but I was outside this morning grabbing a few pictures during warmups for today's prelims. Check 'em out:

WOW, the most impressive thing for me (other than the mad riders) is that these are all uncropped!

How do I know? you need to clean your sensor David!

Yeah uncropped and unedited. They can all be improved (rescuing some of the shadow detail, for example). But I was in a hurry (I'm supposed to be working, after all!).

I suppose the good thing is ... you now know for sure that the bikers were UPSIDE DOWN and that I didn't just flip the picture! ;-)

What did you shoot with? 70-200 or 100-400?

Lol David, straight from the camera these are outstanding and with only basic editing its an even better series :)

The 100-400. But I often found 350-400 to be way too long (chopping body parts off!). A 70-200 would have worked well for a lot of these shots.

Yeah, I liked the last few shots I took the best .. unfortunately, I didn't discover that "angle" until as I was heading back to the office! And now they won't be competing again until Saturday.
