Greetings to you,
How are you and your family? Hope all is well. My name is Richard Taylor (Pvt)
an American soldier, serving in the military with the US Army 3rd Infantry
Division operating in Iraq. With a very urgent need of assistance, I have summed
up courage to contact you. I found your contact particulars in an electronic
address directory. I am seeking your kind assistance to move the sum of ($18
Million USD) Eighteen Million United States Dollars to you. Therefore, you must
assure me of the safe keeping of my share. All I need is your willingness, trust
and commitment until I complete my service here in Iraq.

Some money in various currencies were discovered in barrels at a farmhouse near
one of Saddam old palaces in Tikrit-Iraq during a rescue operation, and it was
agreed by SSgt Kenneth Buff and I, that some part of this money be shared among
the two of us before informing anybody about it. The above figure was given to
me as my share, and to conceal this kind of money became a problem for me, so
with the help of a contact working here and because his office enjoys some
immunity, I was able to get the package out to a safe location entirely out of
trouble spot. Now, I have found a very much secured way of getting the package
out of Iraq, and I will discuss this with you when I am sure that you are
willing to assist me. Please be assured that with mutual consent, both of us can
agree on a deal. I am therefore, making a passionate appeal, should you have any
reason to reject this offer, please and please delete this message immediately,
as any leakage of this information will be detrimental to the entire US soldiers
here in Iraq.
Your earliest response to this letter will be appreciated. Please contact me as
soon as possible via this medium (r.taylor@mail2me.com) which is my only private
means of communication.

Yeah - and one that can figure out how to get what would be a stack of cash out of a war zone but cannot figure out how to do a transfer to the US :-)

I guess a thinking person would have to wonder:
a) how is it that appearantly 36 million in cash was hidden this long
b) how he's found a safe spot for 18 million in cash without raising and suspision during his tour of duty
c) if all this money is indead in various currencies, how he's going to exchange it and presumably use it (I guess that where you come in)
No... something just doesn't seemd right...lol |

So many skeptics around here.
How could this possibly be fake??? All the details are there, he found your "contact particulars in an electronic address directory" and then contacted you (a total stranger) to help him take $18 million dollars out of some foreign country- I am sure this happens every day all over the world.
Plus, he shows genuine concern for his fellow soldiers deployed in a far away land "please and please delete this message immediately, as any leakage of this information will be detrimental to the entire US soldiers here in Iraq." (BTW- why to support the troops by blasting this all over the internet).
Clearly this is a man with a huge heart and a lot of caring swelling up inside him. Why, I am sure if you help him he'll use his share of the money to help orphans, or homeless puppies, or homeless orphans with puppies. Who knows what he'll do.
I say help him. I'd offer to step in and help him on your behalf, but it might just be detrimental to the entire US soldiers over there in Iraq.

I've read in a few places that 419 scammers english usage has been improving over the past couple of years, although judging by this one its got a long way to go.

The only kudos I can give to this 'soldier' is the fact that he didn't put down Brown, Smith or Jones as his surname. However I am sure that there are many Taylors kicking around.

It's definitely real--I can tell by the writing style it was written by Dick Cheney.

I've already done my part in helping the US Soldiers in Iraq. I've placed special mortar shells in the black market that the insurgents patronize. Here is a video that shows how they work.

Ah, yes. Scam. American servicemen are not allowed to keep anything they "find", and those that do would not be able to send it anywhere. Not to mention if it's in Iraqi currency, the kind with Saddam's face on it, it's worthless now. :-)

I've had a request from a member???? (lindaanthonys) in the form of a nigerian scam today.
DPChallenge user lindaanthonys has sent you the following private message: Dearest One, I have to explain myself to you first. I am Miss Linda Anthony, the only Daugther of Late Dr Kadiri Anthony, who was murdered in Bouake the commacial city of Cote D' Ivoire during the political crisis that erupted Cote D'Ivoire by the rebels. Before his death he showed me some documents which he used in depositing the sum of $8,500,000.000 Million US Dollars in a security company in Europe. I was able to made away with these documents when the rebels invaded our house and killed all the family members and burnt every where to ashes. Right now I am in a church in Abidjan where I am taking refuge. I seek for your assistance to help me to retrive this box containing 8.5 million in the security companay in europe and transfer this money into your account so that you can assist me to come over to your country for us to invest the money in a good business. Right now I am left with nothing, that is why I am soliciting for your assistance. I will give you %10 of the total money if you are willing to assist me to get this money out from the security companay in Europe.
