I was looking at a poster in the school library today. It's published by one of the Japanese newspapers. You may have seen the news featured in your own local paper.
Scene: Large field of ice in Greenland, specifically a crevice.
Scientists (evidently from NASA), are dropping rubber duckies (and measuring instruments of some kind) into the crevice in order to study where the melt water from the ice flows to.

Well, the SMH thought it was news that they could hold back for a few weeks.... just posted today.
