Now that Double Take II is over, I wanted to share the other pictures of some the exotic frogs that were part of a traveling exhibit at the science museum. These frogs were in a glass case so in many cases the low lighting and reflections made it hard to capture them well.

Vietnamese Mossy Frog (these little guys REALLY blend in with their environment)

Monkey Frogs

Dart Poison Frogs

Chinese Glider Frog

Posting here with regards to the bright blue color of the Dart Poison Frogs:

Most poison dart frogs have brightly colored skin which is used as a warning sign to predators. They are extremely poisonous - their secretions off their skin have been used by some South American tribes to poison the tips of arrows and blowdarts.

The blue one was the only one I got a good shot of although you can see another in the backdrop with bright yellow and blue. There were others: a bright golden yellow (supposedly the most poisonous of the dart poison frogs), bright green & black, and a bright yellow & black.

here's my frog pic

Woodfrog

Was mowing the lawn and he jumped over my lawnmower!! I had to jump off, run and get the camera...my husband heard the mower stop, and not start back up...when he came looking I was lying in the ground...This was my only shot as he came RUNNING towards me thinking I was hurt! He was not pleased that I was 'only taking a picture', how dare I scare him like that!

Kinda off topic but...

Frogs are like to new woodie/ducky/water drop. No really. Look back through the challenges from this year. In many of them, someone has managed to stick a frog in somewhere, often as just a prop to make the main subject of the challenge more interesting (just as people do with the woodies/duckies/water drops).

No, no, no! Clearly that is Francis. Norman has smaller eyes and a nicer mouth. Shows what you know! :-)
