Alright, I have an sb800 and 600. I have the 800 on a sync, set as master, and the sb600 on remote mode. When I fire, the 800 fires, then, after a second or two, the 600 fires. This used to not be the case. I have reset EVERYTHING I can think of, and still......the delay!
Arrgh, big shoot, and big problems! Somebody help please!!!! |

| I don't have any experience with these products but could it be due to low batteries? Or what about Rear Curtain Sync? |

| batteries are new and strong- is there a rear curtain on the 800 or 600 instead of the body in wireless mode that I am not aware of? |

Are you firing the flashes by pressing the TEST button? Or by pressing the shutter button?
The TEST button purposely causes a delay so that you can verify that all flashes (master and all slaves) are firing.

| dwterry, thanks I didnt know that, and will keep that in mind, but it didnt fix the problem :(. Anybody else have any ideas? |

Could it be that the sb600 isn't charged fully and goes off when it has full charge?

that was one of my first thoughts, so that is ruled out as well... the crazy thing is a month ago or so, this worked fine when I did it... now this- even though I really dont think I have changed anything. Any other suggestions? These are all going with me to the camera store in the AM. I will post the solution if I find one in case anyone else comes across the same problem. Im still open to thoughts though!

I had the delay thing happen to me too, and it drove me nuts until I figured it out. Once I fired from the camera, everything was fine. This was Canon though, but seems likely that Nikon would act similarly. |
