Well I'm not in a position to complain - but after my horse had made a bit of an effort to pick it's head up long enough to get back on the path, it seems to have become distracted again by those distant hedgerows . .

I might try and throw out a few more comments tonight. I'm not doing any scoring on this challenge, only commenting, and I'm also trying to see if there is anything to put in for the FS - so time might be a bit tight.

If jaimevinas is out there - are you still on your big score ?

edit to add - ok I've now dropped .05 in a few minutes :- (

Aaah - yours is the shot of the horse with big feet !!

walks off muttering "Now just let me go through all the shot's again looking at their feet"

Well I'm off to bed now, sadly my score's going a little bit South, but luckily it's not going to affect my ribbon chances :- )

Best of luck to one and all as we canter up to the final jump - my guess is that there are at least two 7+ scores in this challenge (even if people have not declared them ) but neither of them are mine . .

ps - just wanted to say it's been a pleasure riding along with you all on this challenge - now I really am off to bed !!

im only posting this on this thread because it has to do with horses. i was at a rodeo today shooting with my uncle. his kid got bored and wanted to leave and i asked if they could come back to pick me up later. he turned to me and asked, 'how many photos do you really need?' this completely shocked me, since he's a photographer as well. i take as many damn photos as i want, more if im enjoying myself. has anyone here ever actually felt like they were taking too many photos? it confuses me...

How on earth can you take too many photos? And considering the locale was a rodeo, fer gawds sake, there's all kinds of great action shots to capture!

I shoot until a)I lose interest in the subject, which is rare; b) until I get the shot, whether it's shot 5 or shot 500; c) I can finally look at the screen and say 'Yes! That's exactly what I want!'; or d) until I fill up my memory card.

*off to find toothpicks to prop my eyes open with...I'm staying up til rollover!*
