I've tried to get good birds in flight pictures a lot and am not really pleased with my results, but I am graduly getting better at it. Here's a couple of my better shots.

OK, I guess I must not be doing something right. I am trying to post a photo from my computer hard drive. I am not able to do the "cut and paste" thing... what is the trick? Can I only post pics here that are have already been entered in my DPC?
Tx,

Drake, the only way I know to put images in these threads is to link to them using the buttons just above the text box for posting a reply. To use these an image must be posted some where on the net, can be in your portfolio here at DPC or elsewhere. Some of the photos I link to only stay in my portfolio for a short time because I don't like them all that much, lol. |

Two outakes from the flight challenge. The second has many obvious problems, but it still catches my eye every time I browse through the photographs taken that afternoon.

Ooops, silly fingers. Should have been 70-300mm. I wish it was 700mm!

Here is one i took last weekend. My wife was some distance away from me shouting and pointing up to the sky. Unfortunatley I only had my 18-55 standard lens on at the time, thats why they are a bit on the small side!! -Dont ask me what they are cos i dont know!!

Caught a flock of turkey vultures flying overhead last evening, as the sun was getting low. With every beat of their wings the undersides would catch the sun. It was dramatic to watch.

I like the shadow in the sand on this one.
By the way - I love the shot by Rjamin - is it a Sandhill crane? |
