Dirt just started a new thread announcing the third Olympics. Starting Sep 16 for 12 weeks.
I'm game for another German round - who else is in?

Oliver, I'm coming. Can you feel my breath in your neck?
For a short while I did not push the update button, and swooosh some 4s slipped through (almost unnoticed), but now I'm on track again... :)

Not sure if I can hold a solid 6? 80 votes and gone from 6.4 this morning to 6.1 / Go Hein... :)

I suggest you drop me from the roster for the next time (I just can't come up with the goods on a regular basis) and hire Oliver. :-) |

Deb,
please take this literally: I do not care about winning the DPC Olympics. Of course some competition is great and challenges everyone.
I do enjoy the company and the discussions and exchange of ideas we had. So if it's for scores and points - it's not a reason to drop off the team.
If it's for other reasons like no time, other commitments - absolutely acceptable.

Melethia I have to copy Hein on his comment. You are on top of the "DPC" world with your last entry and we all have had good and not so good scores during the last 7 weeks. I also believe it is about team camaraderie and not just winning. Hey if it would be easy everybody would have lot's of blue ribbons in the portfolio. Plus you where also the only one on "native" grounds?
I'm in if there is another round and there is an opening :)
PS: Can I change my team number to 68?

My biggest problem lately it seems is getting something into a challenge. I quite often shoot for a challenge (I like the idea of challenges, having something in my head to look for when I shoot) but I'm not a set-up shooter (as you all might have figured out by now!) If you can live with my oddball tendencies to shoot what I see, not what I set up, and realize that there will be times I'll enter what I like not what will "score", then I'll hang around. I do like the comraderie and the feedback. But I do think it might be worth asking Oliver if he'd like to join - he IS German and as an added bonus, does live in Germany. He's also rather awesome at setup shots. :-) |

So, one of the few things we have to figure out: Will Juliet accept being our leader again?

Deb, you are an amazing photographer - there's no putting up at all.
And Oliver is an actual German??? What a novelty - a German on the German team. We should try it. :o)

Good news for you, Heini, there have been some envious trolls around in the meantime that pulled my score down by 0.3. Did I spot your entry?
And Alicia, that might be a surprise: in the original successful team from DPC Oly 1 there actually were three members Germans ( Mephisto, bubeltrubel and me.
Deb, I'm afraid you will have to stay with the team, I'm not planning on participating in Oly 3. |

Oliver, I made the same observation, some low voters are having their fun.
Sorry to hear about your drop. I have to admit, I had no time so far to browse through all the pictures (I usually don't vote in the challenges I submit, at least not in ones I'm doing pretty well). But screening through the thumbnails, there are not too many real real good ones out there.
Currently it seems like I might have a new picture on my protfolio front page. The only question will be: in first or second place.
There are still about 5 days of voting left. Anything can happen.
Good luck, I hope you recover for a neck to neck run :)

Well mine dipped below 6 ;) at 130 votes. And for better or worst I have a german passport - I just do not live there anymore. Go Go GO Hein for your top run and good luck to Oliver as well, to bad that you will to do a OLY3.
Not sure how set's the rules for the DPC OLY, but a differently weighted point system may make it more fun, especially if it goes for 12 weeks...
