So someone in my neighborhood (or their dog) is routinely pooping in my yard (4 times last week). I want to catch who it is!

Costco has one that is motion activated and disguised as a motion flood light, but it gets bad reviews.

I'd like something that is motion activated and records to a card so i don't have to connect it to something else to record (like the costco one). And I don't want to spend a fortune.

Any suggestions?

Check out Cabelas for "trail" cameras. When I was a property manager we used one to watch over our firewood storage.

Great idea!!! Thanks!

Plus once the probem is resolved it has other uses.

I have a friend who suspected that her landlord was "prowling" through her house when she was not there. He wasn't simply making "inspections," he would come in, pilfer through her mail, look through her cabinets and in her refrigerator, etc. and go through her bureau drawers in her bedroom.

She had gone to the sheriff about it a couple of times, but nothing was done due to it just being suspicions, etc.

So, she borrowed a hunting camera like this and set it up.

He came in, it clicked on, recorded the date and time, and videotaped the whole thing. At one point, he even picked the camera up and looked into it and set it back down.

She showed the tape to the sheriff, and an arrest warrant was issued.

They have several uses.
