I put the Canon Remote Switch RS-60E3 on my wish list (aka Christmas List), that's the only one I could find that specifically mentioned being for the Rebel.

I ordered 3 different catalogs from B&H this morning - can't wait to get them!

The remote is nice but I was afraid there would be times I couldn't get around to the front of the camera without disturbing the subject.
The new cataloge is nice from B&H. Reminds me of the old Sears Christmas Wish Book. All of Santa's toys!!

There is one main difference between the wired and non wired ones. The wireless ones act as if you press and RELEASE the shutter button, therefore the maximum shutter release is 30 secs. The wired one has a lock feature. It acts EXACTLY like your shutter button, if you hold it down it will stay open as long as you hold it. Hence the lock feature which allows you to actually let go of the trigger, but the shutter stays open. I have one of the wired ones, it works very well. Half press will get the focus, full press triggers the shutter.
