Level 70 hunter....can't remember server..because I haven't played since January. (Night Elf)
Much too expensive......switched back to Halo3... :) can't beat 50 bucks a year..instead of 80+ every three months..

Rheii Lvl 70 Mage Originated on Ysera moved to Shadowsong where she is retired with 7k gold, all the trade card game trinkets, about 50 different mounts I loved my rheii..exalted with almost everything-I just went all out on her and then I quit cold turkey(click my name for the armory)
I needed to quit, it was ruining my life-so one day I just canceled the account, shes still there but that, Ive been wanting to go back, like WoW withdrawls lol

not to mention all the other alts i had on their way to becoming 70

thats what i dont get...i am a huge fan of rpg's but this whole thing of people getting addicted i just dont get, didnt we have a thread on here of someones kid who was flushing a college education down the toilet because of this game? |

My husband plays about 6 hours a day during the week (after his full day of work) and usually 14 or more hours each weekend day.

I used to think the same as you..but this game is like electronic Heroin. I had to quit cold-turkey also... |

i dunno, i tallied up my hours and it totaled to 2200+ hours played and then I realized, I couldve learned a new language or discovered a new planet (not likely but you know) instead of sitting here at 11pm frustrated because we were waiting for more raid members to come online so we could kill the last boss. And then I quit :) and I still havent learned a new language
*but keep posting up your armories! I still like to go and see, even if I don't play anymore
anyone wanna buy a decked out mage? j/k

I spent countless hours...getting my 19 rogue built into a killing machine.
Blah...all that time..down the drain. Now I don't even play it.

I loved to run around and pick fights with level 30-37 horde...
and destroy them....they wouldn't see it coming. not from a 19. They just couldn't touch me...not with my arena trinkets....and not with all that dodge.

oh wow WoW i use to play it, i kinda stopped though cause i couldn't afford it :p But i stopped at a level 68 Undead Warlock.
Maybe one day I'll go back on it. Me and my bro shared an account before and split the cost every month, but since he moved we don't play anymore

mmm, WOW. I wasted a ton of time on it as well. When my daughter was first born me and my wife slept in shifts. I would have her up on my lap at night sleeping as I played and would take care of her while she slept, and then I'd sleep during the day. Was one of the first on my server with a Blood Elf Pally after BC came out. Then I wanted to not play anymore so I tried to finish it for good. I sold my account for around $600.
Then a couple months later I bought another copy and started playing again. Got to 66, then I sold it again to try and not play.
Now all this talk of WOTK and I want to play that, but I can't... musn't go back! I'm taking pre med classes and can't play while in school. All these bones that I have to memorize are frying my brain. Even the little holes in them have names that I have to remember >.<
So instead of WOW to detox, I went out and bought a hand held system. That way I can play every now and then to relieve a little stress and they're not as addictive to me as an online game. |

I play on occasion, canceled once, started up recently. Highest is a L50 Troll Mage, various 40's, 30's, 20's, and 10's. Mostly hunters, druids, and mages. With a few locks, pallies, and priests. I usually get to about level 35 then quit that character for some reason, maybe I just hate STV that much heh. I am going to try to get to 70 with no friends, no guilds, no pugs, and see how I do. I know, silly to solo in a multiplayer game but I've just had too many bad experiences playing with friends.
I've never felt addicted to it, rather the opposite as I find it... very boring lol, but it is easier than trying to do photography in the middle of the night when I can't sleep, lol.
I'm also until recently a subscriber to EVE Online which I would also describe as very boring but much better designed in a lot of ways.
I'm not a huge fan of blizzard and think they put too much "business" into wow vs "care", time and money sinks, designed to be addictive first and fun second. and now people can get mounts at level 30 for 35 gold, invite friends and level three times faster while playing with them, all intended to help players skip the boring parts so they will get to the end quicker so they will buy the new expansion.
end rant ;)
ETA: I think my favorite thing to do in WoW is make money. My latest character, a L23 Druid, just broke 100g, in only four days. :)

i never found STV that bad, what did it for me was Desolace - but leave it up to me to go across the 'country' and quest in another land.
i once got so bored i swam from elwyn forest ALL THE WAY AROUND the continent, you would be surprised what kind of quirks I found.
but I havent played since march. And Now I am in warhammer beta yippe!! >.< |
