I would really appreciate your input, comments, critique, etc. on this image. I used PainterX to add brush strokes to a photo taken in Maui while on vacation in April of this year. I uploaded and waiting approval for DPCPrints...but would like to know what you think.
Thanks!

Bumping for the morning folks....guess only 1 person cared to comment yesterday....Thank you cpanaioti! I've noticed here on DPC...if you aren't a favorite photographer or a good friend of alot of people, you kinda get ignored most of the time, at least I do on over 90% of post.

Wow! It honestly looks like you took a picture of a painting! |

Don't take things too personally, Billy. I've been around for ages and most of my threads get ignored too. ;)
I like the image, the colors are bright and really catch the attention. Its a subject that lends itself well to painting.
Do keep in mind that DPC as a whole doesn't seem to love painter images. Too manipulated for average taste, I think.

Sorry, but that is nonsense. You have received 9 times the number of comments that you have given ΓΆ€“ not a good ratio. maybe you should work on that side first, then you will be noticed.
ETA: The kind of images you posted is not well accepted here; it is nice and colorful but it has little of a photograph.

yah it is still on the wonk and needs tilting.
I second what Eye said, if you really want comments and to learn, you should comment on other peoples work. It gives you a lead when it comes to what looks good, what the proccessing is, how to improve it in your minds eye.
You will find that if you actually comment on other peoples work as well, then tend to comment back at you with contructive comments, not just eye candy, oh yeah that is nice.

Maybe there are not as many comments made by me because I don't spend hour upon hour everyday online. I have been here over 5 years to get those 562 comments, and you have picked up over 4400 in under 3 years. Sorry if I'm not as "talented" as you obviously think you are and have everyone going nuts over my photos. I just asked for comments to help me grow in this area. As for not being a well accepted photo here, why are there almost 200 of "painted" images just on DPCPrints? Ok..my rant is over.. Thanks for being rude and not trying to help any at all...I appreciate your expertise!

Thanks to those that have left comments. I want to thank everyone that took time to look over it...
I was not asking for "pity" from anyone.
I did however, since I'm such a horrible photographer, email site council to go ahead and remove my account from DPC so that I won't get in the way and waste space here. To whoever was sending emails to my personal email address, you can stop now as I will be leaving DPC.

oh for goodness sake, grow a pair of balls man.
You want to grow as a photographer, then you need to hear and listen to what people have to say to you. If you think you are a terrible photographer, then look and comment on other peoples work. You will learn very quickly the ins and outs of photography.
As for the person emailing you, you either tell them to stop, or you copy the emails and send them to SC and let them warn the person.
