I know this has already been addressed but I could not not find it under the search option.
Shooting in Camera RAW mode is it legal to:
Use the lens venting slider while in Camera Raw before converting to Tiff or JPG?

Vignetting? Not legal in basic.

You probably couldn't find it because there's no such thing. ;-P
Adding a vignette is not legal in Basic editing no matter how you do it. "You may not use ANY editing tool to create new image area, objects or features (such as vignettes..." |

I thought as much. I was pushing this challenge entry close to the limit of Basic editing (closer than I regularly do) and want to double triple check.

NO! I was talking about VENTING as in my anger while editing in raw :P (j/k)

But if you used a mechanical filter in front of the lens (old school, scary stuff), that would be legal. Correct? |

If its part of the original scene/capture, its legal - this includes all filters mounted in front of the lens etc.
