Okay, I've put a few shots up on the DPCPrints side (mostly for family if they want it) but the largest I've been able to get in print size is 8x10.

I've followed the tutorial but am still lost on how to get a larger size print? I wanted to get a couple of bigger ones for my girls for the holidays or their birthdays next year but............

Can someone tell me if it's even possible for me to resample my images to a decent enough quality for a larger print?

With a 2 megapixel camera, I think even 8x10 is pushing it. You could just keep resampling like the tutorial says, but at larger sizes, you would likely have extremely poor quality prints.

it's pushing it, yes.. but i wouldn't be supprised if it looked half decent... On one of my summer vacations, i took a pic of my friend's iguana. Without thinking, i forgot i had left the camera at 3mp instead of the usual 5mp.. My friend ha a 42" wide printer, so he offered to do a print for me. He prints on canvas, not paper, so it's a bit different :

I though what the hell, it wasn't costing me anything, so he did a 16x20 of my iguana pic, at 3mp, and it turned out great!

here's the pic i sent (resized of course :) )

and here's the print:

(it looks kinda low contrast in that pic, but thats cuz of the glossyness of the print and the flash i used, it really does look like the link i have to my pic..). In any case, i wouldn't hesitate to get another 3mp pic printed that size, and even more excited about getting a 5mp one made, but i imagine that the material makes a big difference. It would probably just look like a big blur on photo paper...With the textured canvas, it makes it feel like a painting :)

If you use 2250 x 1500 as your image size you might be able to push it up to 10"x15" image. That is if you resample enough to make your image printable at that size.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the feedback and will keep trying. Going to upload another shot I redid because it's been driving me nuts as well, watch for this one! ;)
