I have an image that is 920 pixels in height & 748 pixles wide. When I view it normaly it looks fine. However when I look at it in full screen the image looks stretched out. Anybody know why? did I do something wrong if so how can I fix this.

Thanks

Full screen isn't the same aspect ratio as the image.

If you want an image to look good at full screen then the image's pixel dimensions must be the same as the screen dimensions in pixels (or a multiple of).

This would require cropping the image.

What is your screen resolution?

make your WINDOW full screen then 'fit the image' to the window. This should protect the aspect ratio. The image may not actually take up the whole screen, but it will be as large as it can be and still maintain the correct ratio.

This isn't your screen resolution as I think you were trying to tell us. It should be the number of pixels your screen displays wide and then tall. So for example my screen resolution is 1680 x 1050.

What are the dimensions? 800 x 600? 1024 x 768?

Also, for viewing on the screen the dpi will be set to either 72 or 96.

The 300 set in cs3 would be for printing.

Try what CEJ suggested and if necessary, crop your image using 1280 x 800 as the ratio (don't check the box next to the height and width).

If this is just for viewing within cs3 then what CEJ has suggested is the approach to take. If it's for using as wallpaper then your image aspect ration needs to be the same as the screen.
