Pretty sure I won't be making it to week 4 at this point, so my choice is moot as to which challenge. I suspect, however, that I may have some bragging rights for the steadiest and perhaps largest drop in average of all contestants to make it this far. I started with 5.7357 the first week, then 5.7329 for an average to beat the second week, and now a 5.7311 to beat this week. My average at this moment is now 5.7299 and falling by the hour. Surely that's something worth recognizing? :-) |

Dennis - in case you did not get the PM, I should not have moved on to the 3rd round. Somewhere in this thread I chose the Fallen challenge as my entry and it did not work out for me. Shoulda left things alone lol. |

I feel your pain ... I was in that same position last week, and was strangely unhappy when my Occupation shot started out above my average -- and now I'm strangely ecstatic that it ended up 0.0033 points below my average to beat for week 3 (but 0.0054 above the average I had when this tourney started!)
Now I don't feel too bad about opting to go with a Ducky shot I had yet to take -- and which, after a rush job Monday morning, is currently sitting at 0.7 below my average. Hope you have better luck than me with your last minute entry!

Just double checked and yep you're right. Thanks for your honesty ... I will update the OP and the score sheet.

Ok, this is early for me as I usually wait until the last few hours to upload. Still, I'm in for Purple and I really, really like my shot. This, of course, means that it will bomb and I'll be out after this round. :)
Good luck to everyone that makes it into round 4, and congrats to those that already know they have made it! |

The picture seems to have changed considering how the score was earlier in the week. Been a weird up and down ride.
Let's just say I am either going to do a Dara Torres with *JUST* missing it or a Michael Phelps with *JUST* getting by. It's all going to come down to the next day of voting and the scrubbers.

Fingers crossed Eric ;)
Me? am now having second thoughts as I have 2 purple shots to choose from. One isn't as purple as the other but seems to fit the title well (for those that think). However, the second is more purple and may score a little better (am pretty sure I'll choose the wrong one lol).

I am not convinced my entry will do as needed to get me to week 5, but it is the best shot I have with the limited time I had to shoot...and my outtakes (taken this weekend) are not going to deliver me a score anywhere near close enough to 6 to make this interesting. |

Looks like I'm going to make it for the next round. Going with the "Door" challenge. Got a little creative and I like how it came out....So it should tank big time....Lol. |

Ah, you were where I was last week with making a difficult choice. It's the damned if you do and damned if ya don't dilemma. Both are good I am sure but you only get to choose one:-) Good Luck with round 4 Andi! |

Remarkably enough my duckie has been climbing steadily since Sunday, however since there isn't another week of voting left, at this point I'll officially concede and wish the best of luck to the survivors.

Heh. No, that's my running average. My score in the current challenge that counts is a good 0.2 below that. Won't be moving on this time. But it was fun while it lasted! |

Your absence is always a tragedy, Deb, but so it goes. I'm blessed with a 4.8xxx average and I'm just praying my doors entry can scrape over it. I wouldn't have made round 2 if 5.7 was the standard. Kind of what this tourney is about, really... |

Well since it is a back and forth with the score being close if I fail to make the cut for next week it is because I did not duck. Those who do advance 'ducked' at the right time:-)
O.K., O.K. horrible pun. I'll go back now and try to figure out what to do with the dining room table that I broke finishing up a photoshoot (don't ask).

Well I will make it into the fourth round (further then I thought I would) but I will say good-buy now for the fifth round as I'm sure I will not make it. My shot for the next round is dismal and I have no real hope for it. But man did I ever have fun and I would love to do this again.
EstimatedEyes Dennis, Thank you for running this side tournament I really enjoyed myself.
All the best to everyone who is left, Good luck.
MAX! |

well, it looks like I'll survive til the next round ... not really happy with my Doors entry, so we'll see what happens in the coming week ... either way, this has been a great side tourney and jump-started my participation around here again ...hopefully we can do this again soon! I like the challenge of trying to beat myself all the time ... |
