I haven't had a newborn session in a LONG time... but I have 3 coming up so I called a friend who just delivered and asked to borrow her baby. :D

These are a few early favs.... how did I do?

Btw I have a question,
I see a gray line that has a signature in it, do you keep it when printing for the end client?

No, the watermark is only for online showing and does not ever occur in a client's prints.

They are great, thanks for posting them. I done my first maternity shot for a lady i work withes daughter a couple weeks back and will be doing the newborns shots in a few weeks and i am excited and nervous. So i need all the ideas i can get.

where did you find the cute little bed, and is really setting in grass?

cindi I like the arm over the head pose. My Nattie girl ALWAYS slept like that and still does!

OMG thanks for the comments, guys.

To answer a few questions....

The little bed is one I borrowed from a tween down the street. Its a doll bed made for the American Girl dolls. It was the right color (almost) so I begged to borrow it. I was granted permission as long as I promised the baby wouldn't pee on it. lol She's heard about a few of my baby sessions!

The clothesline is a graphic image that I placed after the capture. I blurred it to give it distance.

The outdoor shot(s) (I took MANY of them) includes many points of view, including a very low (eye-level) bunch... but I don't like them as much because you don't get a real sense of space. Dunno, might play with that one some more before the parents get to see.

Baby was born on August 1st, 2 and 1/2 weeks premature. He's about 6 pounds now... very tiny! Mom had serious complications and besides a cesarean, had internal bleeding so a 2nd operation on his birthday. They only brought baby Kyle out for the first time today.... for me....I was to thrilled and humbled at the same time. Mom is barely moving still, she was so kind to bring him!

They are adorable! That bed is perfect.. if I were you I would be bribing her to let you keep it ;) hehe.

Maybe I can convince her dolls are dumb, or I could try to trade her for something, like my car. lol
