I just saw this in a trivia contest that said it's an Aussie saying. I thought it'd be interesting to see whether it's actually common:

May all you chooks turn into emus and kick your ______ down

not an Aussie, but I believe the missing word is:

May all you chooks turn into emus and kick your dunny down.

If I am correct and dunny is correct, does that make it common?

Dunny be the word..... It's not common as I have not heard it used much but I knew the answer so I musta picked up that trivia somewhere.... might depend which part of the country you are from...

It's not too common... but I've certainly heard it... working in a bar for a few years you tend to hear these things. Dunny is indeed the word... our little slang for a toilet, mostly outdoor ones I guess... don't see too many of those anymore though.

Hey Even I have heard of the word Dunny. ;)
I saw a postcard once that had a picture of an outhouse and it said Outback Dunny

The proliferation of Australian words to describe an outhouse is one of those entertaining sides to the Aussie culture... My favourite at the mo is "thunder hut."

also known as a thunderbox...

ah k, that whole mad max thing is finally starting to make sense now, Thunder Dome is actually a community toilet then. Explains why the scene and everyone in it looked like crap :P

"Dunny" is NOT common? I must hang out with a lot of Aussie equivalents of rednecks, in that case.

Dunny's common, but I guess the whole insult phrase isn't, so much.
I love Aussie slang, and even caught myself using a bit of it after our trip :)

I'm not sure if I'd be more afraid of an Aussie redback or an Aussie redneck!

Do baseball players hang out in other people's outhouses in Australia?

Maybe they go in to practice handling their balls?
Sheesh, get your minds out of the gutters, folks... or outhouses, as the case may be.
