Hi All,

Got my first flash unit yesterday and today have the worst migraine ever.

Will a diffuser stop this? I ask as during studio work I am fine.

Cheers

Tony

Diffuser might help... flashes are terrible kickstarters for migraine. But so is stress and excitement. It might not be the flashlighting..

Never heard of Flash gun's triggering migraines before - stress certainly - but flashgun's ?

Odd things can trigger migraines. Some people are susceptible to the frequency of flourescent lights, for instance. Or the screen refresh rate of a monitor or a television. So maybe a flash could do it as well.

I get flash migraines all the time and unfortunately the diffuser does not stop them. When doing weddings I am flashing anywhere from 4-12 hours, the longer the flash use the worse the migraine. Try taking little rests when you can and close your eyes..

glare (and, yes, sometimes the flash) is my trigger. i never go outside without my sunglasses...even on overcast days.
