Here is a Panorama that I quickly put together last night, using 19 images. It was taken from the second level of the Eiffel Tower and shows a good scape of Paris.
Large version here. (Click on it for a zoom in for details)
I also put together a quick planet version although it would have been much better with a center area....but I couldn't get right on top of the tower to be able to do it.

Was just looking at the larger version again. The amount of detail visible is really incredible. Almost like you are watching the game in the arena from the nose bleed section. |

Very, very nice! How did you keep the structure out of the image? Just walk around it? If so, I'm impressed that it didn't mess with the perspective.

Very nice!
Have you tried using HDview or one of the other pano viewers? |

That large version is beautiful. I wonder if parts of Paris have a restriction on building height.. there seems to be a core of tall buildings in the distance, but the city and environs look intact. Gorgeous. |

It's very interesting comparing the large version with this. |

How did you manage not to include the tower itself in the picture? On the second level if you look one way and then turn around 360° you should be looking into the tower at some point, no? |

You can walk around the tower. The platform surrounds it. |
