I'll be there as well, I was 1.4 above my average now just 1.1 but won't be losing all that (will I?). That said am lost for round 4 challenges so might struggle.

I don't like the mathematics challenge very much, so I think I'll be skipping it. Sign me up for the Purple challenge.

Reminder -- Post before rollover if you enter and want to opt out of Mathematics for this challenge
Remember: the first challenge you enter this week is the one that counts, unless you tell me otherwise before rollover. See Rule 3. If you enter Mathematics but want to use one of the Open challenges for this tourney, you need to PM me or post here before Sunday rollover. If you want to use Mathematics, or you don't enter that challenge, you don't need to do anything!

Looks like I will survive this week! Yippee! Not really inspired by Mathematics so put me down for the open challenges. I am not decided yet if I'll go with purple or doors - got a shot for both. I'll decide which one I use tomorrow.
ETA: and I am very happy and honored to still be playing among such talented photographers!

Yep, me, too. :) Still more than 0.5 above my average for Your Occupation. But my math entry is the first one I'm not quite sure about.

| I'm sitting 0.2 below my average and don't expect a considerable jump in score between now and Tuesday night's rollover. But should the rollover gods be unusually generous, I'll go with Door. It's actually a toss-up - neither my Mathematics entry nor my Door entry (which I haven't even picked yet) will score my average. On the plus side, I don't think it's really going to matter since I don't think I'll be playing in round 4. :-) |

I'll be in round 4 and going with my Purple shot, but don't really expect to be in round 5
My average has gone up from 5.33 to 5.40 during these 3 weeks of challenges....and I even had one that was well below my average (that wasn't in the side challenge).

I'm going to go ahead and say that my Doors or Purple entry is the one to be counted in the "Better than Average Side Challenge" for this week. Now I just have to go shoot a door or Purple shot. . . |

Early returns hint at my surviving the Mathematics challenge. But horses? Bleah. i can't imagine a significant percentage of DPC can even find a horse, much less shoot one.
Here's hoping for better options tomorrow night!

I'm in round 4, and I imagine I'll make it to round 5 as well. My Mathematics entry is sitting at 2.2 above my average at the moment. :)
I feel the same as Jeff about horses. Bleah indeed. |

10 Survivors made it through to Week 4 from Your Occupation (stay tuned for more after Tuesday!)!

Congrats to all, especially jeger for blowing the field away with a 7.3102 -- eating his average by 1.5465 and scoring his first ever ribbon with a shot taken for this tourney. And a shout out to DarkRider as well for topping his average by more than a point as well!
Score spreadsheet will be updated shortly, soon as I pull the starting averages for week 4. Will update it again on Wednesday to add the final list of survivors for Week 4.
I have the following down for opting out of Math if they entered this week; everyone else is in for Math if they entered that one, or one of the opens if they didn̢۪t. Good luck all!

There will be a Better Than Average 2 tourney, but it won̢۪t start until after this one̢۪s finished, and we̢۪ll take several weeks off between tourneys to give everyone time to relax and refresh!

Sad to report that my math score is over my average. I did opt out of math and now I have to go get a door or purple shot!
(I took a picture of a purple door, and now I'm conflicted. . . )
