Wow. I'm impressed. Some really creative and well shot interpretations here. Interesting that there's so many absolut vodka recreations. I thought about doing that one myself but then worried if it would be popular :). I also notice the proverbial 'hot girl with a pepsi' (no coke???) also made a pretty big hit. food ads are popular, and beverage ads probably the most!
I had a really hard time choosing between 2 different pics. Now I'm really wondering if I submitted the wrong one! Since there's nothing else like it in the contest, it prolly wouldn't hurt to post a link to it here.
let me know if you think i screwed up and should have posted any of these! |

I like the matches out of all of them, though it maybe a little too tightly cropped or off centered. And the batteries I would've liked because I use the rayovac nimhs.

I like the gummi bears.
I did a shot of gummi bears years ago.
I took about 1000 gummi bears and lined them up so that they were perfect in symetry and created a perfect field of nothing but gummi bears but it was an artsy shot and not an ad shot.
Maybe I got a thing for gummi bears? :-) |

hehe. i did a whole series of gummi's, if you're interested. gummis meet, have romance, get married, have children, and then TURN EVIL. let me know, I'll post it : ) I didn't use the gummi pic because ultimately i didnt feel it was an ad shot as much as an artsy shot myself.
boy, people all have such different opinions - a lot of people i talked to liked the olive oil bottles. wife liked the batteries and matches, like langdon; my friend nicole liked the gummis and the cd player.
guess this goes to show you need to follow your heart and not go with consensus given that consensus is so variable?

magnetic9999...
hehe...I know what you mean. Different strokes for different folks.
Post all your gummi shots. I am really fired up about gummi's now. I think I am going to go out and buy a whole slew of em today just for a lark.
Gummi's were my sole source of nutrition on a hike I took one time for two days...gummi's and water. Gummi's are indestructable..don't need special packaging and even taste good right out of your pocket..if you can get the lint off. :-) |

magnetic9999....that gummi stuff is too weird. I take back saying I wanted to see them. I somehow feel less inclined to eat gummi bears after seeing the last two pictures in the series.
Thank you for ruining my life.

I like it! It reminds me of the Mr. Bill Show on Saturday Night Live. |
