Okay so I'm looking into my next lense purchase and not sure what I want to do. Here are my thoughts.
canon 70-200 2.8 IS
I will own this lense someday! lol just not sure if it is my next or not. I like it's quality just not the price
The canon 10-22
Awesome lense from what I hear but that means that later in life when I go full frame I have to ditch this lense and get the 16-35L 2.8 (i think thats its name lol)
I tend to do portrait work mostly and I'm a second shooter at weddings. I do more edgy portraits sometimes and feel like when I shoot I miss the wide angle there. My 50mm 1.4 does great headshots and upperbody but I feel like I'm to in there face sometimes. Anyways to those that own these lenses what are your thoughts? Buying both right now isn't an option. I'm just looking for my next purchase help lol. |

Based on what you've said I would go with the 70-200.
As far as the full frame question goes, once you get the 10-22 there's no need for full frame. My thoughts anyway.
You may have reasons other than wide angle for going full frame.

| I have both, and I went with the 70-200 first. Since you're second shooter, that lens will be more useful for you in that regard. It would give you a little more working distance doing headshots too. Plus, once you get over the initial shock of how much money you dumped on that one, the cost of the 10-22 seems like a drop in the bucket. |

If you're going full frame for sure then forget the 10-22 and get the 16-35 when you next have funds for a lens. ;o) |
