that finish was just unreal.....there was like 3 teams that broke the record also....but again that finish wow!!!
I am watching volleyball now....I love the Olympics (not to crazy about watching the gymnastics though)

The US swimmers are very good. They did their talking in the pool !
As far as gymnastics...I LOVED the Romainian women's team for years and years starting in '76 !

| The foot-step fireworks were both real and fake. For anyone actually in China they witnessed the actual foot-step fireworks. However China believed due to the structure of the city it would be dangerous to fly an airplane or helicopter along the road to capture the actual firewords. So for television viewers they used computer graphics to show what the fireworks would have looked like if seen in person, safely. |

Who will be the first athlete to get kicked out of the games for dopiong? Any guesses what country will be caught?
I'll put my bet on China, then every single other country too.

How people can get all primed up and proud about their doped up athletes is beyond me. We're all being taken for fools but everyone's got their little flag and they're waving it with with prepackaged pride and claiming their country is the best. What a load of crap! lol

Thanks for the notice... volleyball is worth a look :). I personally have no interest and only see it cause the other half is interested... They lost me years ago with adding full on professional sports (tennis for crying out loud, basketball) and you never know who is doped up (yeah... those women swimmers that are bigger & stronger then me is just down to newer training methods - yeah right).... I have been looking at some of the photg packing stories and just scratching my head a little (I understand the amount of gear but just the number of guys that are doing the same things). I also saw somewhere that normal people are band from taking in SLR's - yet more crap toward crappy cell phones & little P&S.

You're telling me it's only a few athletes that dope themselves? If you do not take steroids in pro sports and even the Olympics then you will be left behind watching the games from your living room. You can't compete with power house drug users like China or Russia or the US if you do not have a steroid plan in use on your team. I mentioned 3 countries but I could easily include almost every other country. Pro athletes know this and unfortunately this places them in a peculiar situation when confronting other athletes who are known to use drugs but haven't been caught, yet. What would you do if you knew your competitors were all using some sort of enhancement that you also knew to be illegal? Rat them out or join them? If you inform the authorities you will end up isolated every where you go. If you don't join them, you have no chance of winning. Again I ask, what would you do?
