I was under the impression that an item placed in the workshop folder was not visible unless you specifically pointed someone to the image. Last night I uploaded an image to My Workshop, looked at it once and them shut down my system for the night. However, I am confused this morning by the number of views the image has. I thought our own views did not add to the number of views for an image. But if they did, last night would be one view and this morning would be two views for this image. However, there are many more than this. How are people and WHO is viewing this image?

I made sure and it is NOT in the recently uploaded gallery, I did not send anyone the image link. Are people looking at the recently uploaded and seeing a gap in the image ID's and then manually entering numbers to see the images? That is the only way I can think of.

Is it lude, rude and disgusting.....hehehehehe....(if it is, what's the number????)

Just joking!

It could just be someone randomly hitting the number...sometimes by mistake...or your friends viewing it more than they are admitting to...or maybe SC is having a peek too!!!! Check with SC...they may have the right answer for you.

If someone types in a photo number to a recently updated shot, they can see the image in the workshop....

For example, try this photo number.....

683052

You just need to know the web link to the photo area
//www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=

It is in my workshop and has never been put in a forum

Oh, and one more thing...if someone comments on a photo in a workshop, it does NOT show up on 'recently commented images'. Thanks Judi for demonstrating this...you voyuer

Hehehehe....I did that for a reason. Last year, comments were showing up in the 'Recently Commented Images'. So I notified Langdon and he fixed the issue. I was just checking to see if it is still holding.....and it is!

Well, no one - friends or otherwise - was given the URL so it confused me when this morning it had 6 views. Then just now, before removing the image and checking this thread, it had even more.

I guess people just have to peek. So much for previewing the image, like a challenge entry, and forgetting it is in there.
