So my camera just rolled over its file names! I'm back at image_0001 which officially means I've taken over 10k images with my xti. I've only had the thing for 8 months lol!!! It's been such a nice tool to have. I'm always amazed when I finally slow down and drive the camera instead of letting it do its own thing the results it can have. I've learned so much here.

I remember my first entry into blurry mess

I SWORE it was gonna ribbon! I checked into the scores thread and didn't see any real threats... heh heh idiot.... lol! So after my shocking defeat I entered the fences II challenge... yeah that was worst...

But then I entered my 3rd challenge

WHAT TOP 20!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOO! I would have done better except I learned that my hand in my pocket bugged people. I guess there was a lack of passion and I should have had my hand on her...

I'd like to take some time to show you the winner of that challenge by the way

HA! look at his hands lol!!! but I digress ;P

Since then I've been reading and asking advice anytime I could on here. I always found you guys ready and willing to help and all that learning is paying off. I just got a new PB and managed to get into the top 10

The place and score were nice but the comments were unbelieveable.
I just wanted to say that you guys are the best. Even though there are some stinky trolls out there there are still far more good people on here who I've had then honor of meeting.

But enough sappy love talk! I'm off to complete one of my longest running goals... BEAT MY FAVORITE PHOTOGRAPHER ON DPC, KIWINESS IN A CHALLENGE!!!

I've lost track on what my cameras have on them. I shoot too damned much! Last saturday I second shot a wedding and did 1017 images (plus a few deletes), 243 on a senior yesterday and I know the senior coming friday will cause me to go into overload, shoot wise.

My 30D has 45k, perhaps more on it. The 40ds (i have two) sound different as one is pretty new and the other has 15k on it at least - could be twice that even for all I know.

What's killing me is the newer the camera the bigger the files, the busier I get the more files there are - so lack of HD space is an issue that shows up every 6 months now!

Oh man no kidding!!! I'm saving up for my next upgrade lol the 1ds mkIII. I don't want to upgraxde bits and pieces at a time as it doesn't seem cost effective. However the file size difference is shocking! I currently have 1tb of memory and it's about to fill up. I go through and clear more space but ahhhhhhhhhh!!! What was that thibng again? the robo or whatever... I might need one
