I'll be going to London for a vacation in September. I'll need some plug adaptors for my camera's battery charger, laptop, my partner's razor, etc. I went to an electronics store and they sold me one of these:
//www.amazon.com/Grounded-Adapter-Europe-England-Britain/dp/B000BMFH6Y/ref=pd_sbs_a_6
And 2 similar to these:
//www.amazon.com/Samsonite-Adaptor-Plug-Europe-Middle/dp/B000MN63A6/ref=pd_sbs_a_16
My partner tells me that the last 2 are no good, that we need the 1st type only. Can someone who lives in England please let me know what kind I need? Oh, and we need at least one that will take a three prong North American plug (for my partner's wheelchair charger). We've checked all of our devices and they are all dual voltage (110-220) so we don't need a converter, just something that will fit into the outlets in England.

I don't live in England, but I was in Scotland a few months ago and the first set was what I used. The second set definitely would not have worked where I was. |

That second one would work in Italy.
The first one would work in the UK.
Why not just get a surge protector/plug adaptor all in one?

You can get these things at stores like Bentley's as well. Anywhere that sells stuff for travel.
Also, some of the grounded plugs for the UK are round.

The first three pin type is the sort of thing you need. All household sockets are three pin types exept for shaver points in bathrooms, which are more like the other ones you liked to. |

One is fine, other two are no good for the UK. There are very few round pin sockets around now, but some adapters do take round pin?
Remember UK voltage is 240V, not 110/120V. Your dual voltage devices will work just fine, ensure you switch them over if possible. Some do this automtically, others you need to do this manually. :)

The clues in the title - the first say's Europe-England, the other says Europe-Middle, although strictly speaking I'm not sure where the middle of Europe is - it certainly isn't England - either geographically or politically :- ) |

Oh, those are just examples I found on the net, the ones I bought at the store don't say that.
