| I would just like to say thanks, this site has done for me just what I think it was designed for got me to develop and idea, find it and shoot it. I have never taken photography classes or been in art school so I kind of view this as such. I have friends in college that are photography majors and ove the last few weeks we have gone out on quite a few photo outing trying to complete assignments. I look forward to this challenge every week. Thank you. |

Ditto! This site is a blast... I've used my camera more in the past 2 weeks since finding this site than I have in the past 3 months..

| I agree! I've only entered two challenges so far but it gives you a whole new way to look at things again. Sort of like when I was in a college photography class. I've done the whole 35mm thing and I love it....but I do like the instant gratification that digital gives you. I'm looking forward to learning a lot in here and I also want to say thanks for having the "How'd they do that?" section. That's a great idea. Thanks guys... :)text |

Ditto to all that is said above.
I have a degree in communication but my education is from 20 years ago before computers were very popular. This site has helped me tremendously in the last month to get my digital camera skills up closer to my film skills.
This site perfect for folks who learn better by doing than by reading about stuff and I am one of those kinds of people.

Ditto to the above...
I've also noticed I've used the challenge ideas again -- I just took a much better "Ground Up" shot than the one I submitted.
Maybe, if you're ever short of challenge ideas (or need a break), we should go back and "reprise' a past challenge, and see what people have learned. |
