Question, is splitting an image to HSL, working on one or more of the channels separately, then recombining into an image, legal for the challenges? I think it is, but I want to make sure :)))

Depends on what you mean by "working on."

Applying an adjustment or legal filter to the channel should be legal.

Any form of spot-editing or masking applied to the channel is not.

Yes, I meant working on the image in the channel as a whole, not spot-editing.

This is wonderful! I think I'm going to like this working on the HSL channels. Working on the RGB channels has been real good for b/w work. Wonderful stuff, this splitting into channels.

Thanks, Paul!
