Hi
I currently have the D700 usig the 50mm 1.8 and 24-70mm nikon lenses, however I am having trouble with the focus on or near to the centre main picture ie my son holding a baby> my son is is perfect focus whilst the baby is out of focus and soft.
I have tried all the nikons near focus styles 9,21 & 51 point and still getting these out of focus pictures any ideas...it might just be me.
It's seems that if you have a group picture the centre will be in focus and the rest will be out of focus. I know about depth of field and blurring the background
I never had this problem on the D2xs

Sample image with F-stop, etc???
