Max, Max, Max, but I really liked the warrior shot! I always appreciate all the advice from a fellow Canuck. :)
Seriously though, I did appreciate your advice on my FS shot, and have went with your suggestion. Are you in for FS? How is your lawn doing my friend? (the challenge shot, not your yard....)

basssman7 I hate to think what you'd think of the size of the lens that was needed to get me in the photo - I was carrying the little guy. |
No worries kashi, I was just having some fun messin with Max. ;)

Lawn shot is still at 6 and I'm in for free study with the edited shot as suggested by the gang :)
Always looking for a creative outlet for the goofy stuff that's been locked away in my head (I hear voices, where's snaffles, I'm having a strong feeling to put snow in the freezer again, help!) for a very long time. Your playful shot at me was a great outlet, thank you my friend :)~
MAX!

Well my lawn is at 4.6 just where I thought it would be. I'm betting that FS will be right there with it. It's warm here and I have no thoughts for morning or evening so I think I'll go back to the sofa and be a spud :) |

I'm here for you, Quigley, *handing over small paper bag* now sit down and blow into the bag...there's a gooood boy, it'll be all right, this too shall pass...
I don't have a lawn entry, but if anyone needs a real good workout that ends with you dripping sweat, come mow my 1/2 acre of green hell with my reel lawn mower! It's good exercise but also an exercise in masochism...hmmm...Max, we need to distract you from your compulsion to hoard snow. Next time the urge strikes, come over here and mow my lawn. Perfect win-win situation!

Deal! I'll borrow a certain sassy Shetland pony I know, his brother, and two donkeys. That should keep them busy...and if that doesn't work, well, there's a busted-open bag of woodpellets in my storage shed, they can pick them up ;-) |

At least you entered!
I have found an area here (in Augusta) that I think I can use for morning or evening. Unfortunately, Photoshop is not working on my laptop right now... |

Yay! My new (and first) light tent arrived today. A little late for the still life challenge, but it will keep me busy having fun for awhile.
On other news I survived a 6 hour "gorilla shoot" of a big party yesterday. Essentially walking around annoying people by taking their photo repeatedly so that I have some shots to give the client to justify getting paid. Oh, and realizing how really old and fat I am by seeing the young 20-something women in their tiny bikinis and realizing I did not even want to photograph them cause it made me feel like a dirty old man!

Not a rat's chance of making you feel much better, but you're not alone.
(Except maybe with the light tent - I don't have one of those).

From my experience, if you grumble here about a 6 or better, you'll be taken out back and b*tch-slapped 'til you scream like a girl.

I'm a bit of a charmer myself, but even I find it difficult to get young 20-something women into a light tent. |

hello all!
it's been hell time here. domestic angst, which is resolving well. i think.
meeting with new pro lab (very established lab and camera store, but newly offering pro pricing) in the city - i can finally get my prints done locally! and they'll recommend me too!
meeting three wedding (or, as i keep writing on their receipts, weeding) clients in the past two days (one an hour and half away...)
friend and her daughter over last night to help pack. we packed, talked, smoked and drank until two this morning...
sprog's 5th birthday party tomorrow
big wedding shoot tomorrow night
movers arrive 8:30 sunday morning.
the house looks like a bomb hit it.
AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGH!!!!!!!!!!

A huge Happy Birthday to the sprog from me. Give him a hug, if you would!
I like weeding clients.... :-) Has a nice ring to it, don't you think?
Oh, and Jeb - glad to see you've broken the curse on FS 6s! |
