Hi everyone. I do not print photos often, so a bit at loss when it comes to amount and settings of USM for the file going to the lab. I understand it depends on the image a lot, but
can anyone suggest guide figures? Does the radius and treshold depend on pixel or metric size of the file? I will need a print of 10x15cm and another of 20x30cm. Or do I just approximate the size of the print by zooming out until it shows 10x15 etc on the display and see how various settings affect the file?

Many thanks.

I would look at it at 100% and try your different settings, so you can see halos, etc.
I had read once that if it looks a little crunchy at 100%, that is what you want for prints. Not sure how much stock you would put in that. It also can depend on the distance it will be viewed from. The farther..the less "sharpness." I usually just sharpen till it looks good to me without halos at 100%, and my prints I order come out VERY GOOD (especially from DPCPrints).
If it isn't sharp enough originally, doing more will only make it worse.

Sorry, just realised you meant 100% viewing size, not amount of sharpness...
