Hello
07/29/2008 11:34:04 PM · #253
Just a question, I thought I put a post in this thread right after dsterner post and right before cosprenks post. Was it removed somehow, did I say something wrong in the post that offended someone, or did I forget to post it after all and I'm losing my mind??

If I offended anyone with the post and they asked for it to be removed I'm truly SORRY and I will keep my over zellius pep talks to my self.

Could someone, anyone enlighten me on this because I don't like to offend or for my sense of humour to be taken the wrong way :(

I'm not a bad man, really, I'm not.

MAX!

The only people who can remove things are Site Council members. I don't recall any offending posts. Then again, I often don't recall the past five minutes either. Maybe the site burped and the post never quite got there? Hard to offend Team Suckers - we're a pretty hearty bunch...

Looks like the strength is back into the team, With Canada wanting to dominate the world with its own regiment, & those near the great lakes helping, the water between us is oceans wide but we will bring the the victories together with sustained brilliance, (quietly climbs down of his soap box smiling)

Holy cow! Suddenly I am sitting up straighter, good posture, head held high. I am 3 inches taller for sure! Love being a team member! Let's ROCK!

Wow two team members commenting on two different images in the same week, both these are helping me set up my new wide screen monitor the correct color and tone with a 1440x990 resolution. Thanks team.

Well, I called that one. I'm sitting just a couple of hairs over 4.0 right now.

I'm in lawn, with a tongue in cheek duffer that naturally score higher than my carefully thought out and rather elegant cardboard box...

Max may have lost his mind. Could you give us a description of the missing item, sir?

Have a possible Fallen entry, but bored brainless at the thought of shooting for Morning or Evening....hmm gee wonder what will win...can anyone say 'sunrise' and 'sunset'?

Had a job interview today for contract work; have to have own equipment, so I now own a JVC digital harddrive 60G video camera (thank gawd someone tipped me off to Best Buy's price).

Anyone want video shot? :-)

Oh yeah current entry at 4.7. Blecchh.

And once again, I have *NO* clue why the voters like this.....both my wife and daughter think it's truly ordinary.

That is because your wife and daughter are spoiled by getting to live with a really good photographer!

So.....I'm now in Box, Lawn, and I'm waffling between a half dozen images for the FS.

I got an idea for Morning, but nothing for Fallen.

It's weird that I'm having so much luck coming up with entries.

Still at 6 in cardboard box, but I have a much more respectable 4.7 in still life.

I swear to you if you gave me both of those scores and told me which picture to match it with, I would have had a 50/50 chance of getting it right.

You cannot possibly know how much empathy I have for you....

Hint: Had a yard sale three weeks ago, unloaded boxes undisturbed from my move a little over three years ago.

STILL cannot park in the garage.......8>(

Tip: Burn it all and collect the insurance!

("I dunno, Officer, it just burst into flames!")

All right Ernie, you sent me an e-mail last night asking me for an opinion on which photo you should use as your Free study shot. It would seem that I was mistaken with my advice to you. I have rethought the whole thing and I no longer like the shot of the "Zulu worrier with the pickle nose piercing with the tattoo of a flaming water buffalo on his chest carrying a one legged wildebeest.

That kind of shot is so yesterday and would hold no interest for anyone here on DPC, we are far to sophisticated for that kind of photography, besides, even a two year old could tell that you just used water colour paint on yourself and the pickle is plastic and all you did was stick your dogs legs up with some duct tape and glue on some cheep imitation horns for fangs.

YES I wasn't fooled by your trickery, I saw right through your charade and there are far better photographers on this site than I, so your shot would score a smooth 1 for an overall average. I know the truth hurts, but your my friend, and friends are honest with each other. So old buddy I think the shot you have of the fresh cow poo with the flies all over it and the birthday candles, iced with the lovely saying "HAPPY BIRTHDAY LANGDON OLIVER YOU SMELL" would score in the high 9's.

So I hope I'm not to late with this advice for you old buddy, I would hate to see you get a crappy score in any challenge because your so nice to me all the time. Oh maybe you could do a series of shots with that theme honoring the rest of Site Council, it has the potential to be the highest scoring series in the history of DPC and I wouldn't want to steel your idea.

Happy shooting old buddy I think your on the right track to DPC fame. You would be infamous (that means more then famous, amigo)

All the best to you and yours.

MAX!

Melethia thank you for your comments on my GTG photos.

basssman7 I hate to think what you'd think of the size of the lens that was needed to get me in the photo - I was carrying the little guy.
