I just got this link via email. With camera companies changing batteries when they release new models, wouldn't it be nice to carry only one battery charger with interchangeable plates when travelling?

Looks like a handy deal.
I have a dual charger for my Sony batteries, and having just upgraded to a 40D, I've been looking for a travel charger for it.

Looks handy, but it would be even better if cameras (and other devices) used standard sizes of batteries instead of the proprietary mess it is now. Would be nice if there were just a handful of form factors and the camera companies could just pick what was appropriate from those. (Dreaming...)
I recently read a review of some current models and the Pentax SLR that uses rechargeable AA's was criticized for this as a fault. |
