Forgive me if there is a thread regarding this, but I could not find it.

What can I do about the stuck pixels appearing in images taken with my Pentax K100d Super? Is there an available software program to help remap those pixels? I know it may seem like an unimportant question, but I see them in every shot I take and it really bugs me. I do not want to shoot in raw mode as the resulting file size is just unmanageable for me.

Is there a tip or trick that I could learn? I have heard about an editing program that might "remember" the location of my faulty pixels.

And what is the final work on touching up stuck pixels for a basic editing challege?

Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You can remove them in Basic editing with the clone tool.

Does your camera have an option to remap the pixels something called Pixel Mapping or such? Try that.

I never heard of software to fix this but I'm sure something exists.

Your reference to Raw mode puzzles me. Shooting in raw doesn't remove hot pixels. You'll get the same results.

Well the other (pentax) board that I had been reading mentioned that shooting in raw got around the inevitable problem of hot/stuck pixels. Perhaps the writers in that thread were refering to the fact that a Raw file will be comverted by editing most of the time anyway. I'm not sure. I have little experience with raw files.
