Because the dimples on the golf ball force the air flow around them to go from laminar to turbulent and prevents what's called a seperation layer from forming early in the flow. This makes the golf ball have a smaller wake and therefore less drag. A smooth golf ball cannot go fast enough, when hit by a human with a golf club, to naturally trip from laminar to turbulent flow so the only way to do it is with the dimples. Hope that makes sense...

Well this begs the question: Why don't airplanes have dimples?


Because an airplane isn't shaped like a ball. The airplane doesn't have a symmetric shape (front to back that is) and is modeled to naturally resist drag forces. A ball does have a symmetric shape and can't be modeled to resist drag forces. This would be way easier with pictures... haha.

Try it and get back to me after 2-3 minutes of dry mouth, followed by spitting out the remaining cracker crumbs. ;) I can't even do 3 in one minute...

However, Chuck Norris can eat 10-12 followed by a gallon of whole milk, in under 53 seconds.

When gannet chicks are fully grown the parents abandon the nest and chick; a few days later, when the chick realises the food supply has dried up, it launches itself of the cliff face, perhaps 200 feet, into the sea below. It then bobs around for around three days until it has lost enough weight to get airborne. :¬)

That's freaking amazing...I love animal docs...how did this escape me?!?!?!

Okay. That hurt. Now, I feel like I have a furball.

Oh, 2 crackers in 1 minute is doable (barely), but it took me 2:24 for all 6

I would have lost $100 but he was scared that he wouldn't be able to pull it off and knocked the bet down to $10, good thing for me. He could have eaten more than 6 since he was done in 30 seconds. I still cannot believe he did it and did it so easily, everyone else I've seen try this gets stuck on 3 or 4.

Nope, he just stuck them in his mouth towards the back and barely chewed them, I still laugh when I think about it.

I think the more you chew the more you soak up the moisture in your mouth, chew less, and keep them out of the front of your mouth is probably the way to go.

The "smiley" was a nearly instant success. In less than 10 years from its creation almost 50 million smiley face buttons were sold. But...the freelance artist who created it never applied for a trademark or copyright of the smiley and earned just $45 for his work. (You can read about Harvey Ball at Wikipedia.)

since WHEN do you have to be 18 to get movies from Movie Gallery. i have rented from the same gallery for the past two years, and just today they refused to give me a damn movie. im pissed off
